Horse RNG codes not working — troubleshooting guide

A code that will not redeem is almost always one of three things: it expired, it already worked once on your account, or the shop modal lost your keystroke before it registered. This page separates those causes so you fix the right one instead of retyping the same code five times.

What's happening when you try to redeem?

The three real causes of a failed redemption

Almost every "code not working" report traces back to one of three causes, in order of how often each one shows up:

  1. The code has expired. There is no in-game warning when a code stops working — it simply returns invalid. Cross-check against the active list before assuming a typo. Recently expired codes include OPHORSE, UPDATE6, UPDATE5.
  2. It already redeemed on this account. One redemption per code per account is enforced. A second attempt returns an already-claimed message even if you never noticed the original reward.
  3. The shop modal lost focus before Enter. Clicking outside the input field cancels the entry silently. Type or paste the code, keep the cursor inside the field, and press Enter without clicking elsewhere first.

Redemption steps that avoid the failure

Open the shop, select the codes entry field, paste or carefully type the code matching its exact case, and press Enter while the field still has focus. Currently active codes are 250FOLLOWERS, UPDATE9, TAKEABREAK, 8MVISITS, UPDATE4 — see the full codes page for rewards and verification dates. If a code from that list still fails after checking all three causes above, it is most likely a very recent expiry that has not been removed from a third-party tracker yet.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my Horse RNG code say invalid when I copied it correctly?

A correctly copied code shows invalid for one of two reasons: it has already expired (check it against the current active list), or a hidden character came along with the copy — retyping it by hand once, carefully matching the uppercase letters, rules that out. Codes are case-sensitive, so a copy from a source that lowercased the text will fail even though it "looks" right.

Does Horse RNG limit how many times I can use a code?

Yes — each code redeems once per account, not once per code overall. If you already claimed a code's reward, a second attempt on the same account will return an already-claimed message regardless of how the code is typed. Trying the same code on a different account is the only way to redeem it again, and that only applies if the code itself is still active.

Why did my code work but I did not get the reward?

This usually means the redemption did register but the reward is easy to miss — gems land in your currency total rather than a popup, and a Coffee Cup goes into inventory rather than applying automatically. Check your gem count and inventory before assuming the code silently failed; retrying an already-successful code just returns an already-claimed message.

How often do Horse RNG codes expire?

There is no fixed schedule. Milestone codes tied to follower or visit counts tend to rotate out fastest, while general reward codes can stay active for weeks. The safest habit is redeeming every code on the active list at the start of each session rather than assuming a code you saw mentioned recently is still live.

I typed the code exactly right and it still fails — what now?

Work through it in this order: confirm the code is still on the active list and not the expired archive, confirm you have not already redeemed it on this account, and confirm you pressed Enter while the cursor was still inside the field rather than clicking elsewhere. Those three cover the large majority of "correctly typed but still failing" reports.
