Horse RNG All Horses — Complete List With Stats and Sources

Every obtainable horse in Horse RNG catalogued in one place: tier, key stats, how to obtain, and breeding notes. I cross-referenced this list against my own 4-account breeding records and the Horse RNG wiki. Updated after the Update 2 patch (6 new horses added).

How to use this list

The table below covers all 42 horses I have confirmed as obtainable in Horse RNG as of May 2026. For each horse I list: tier (C through SSS), primary speed stat tier (High / Mid / Low within tier), how to obtain it, and any special requirements. Speed stat within a tier determines racing win rate — a High-speed A-tier horse outperforms a Low-speed A-tier horse on the same track.

I want to be honest about data quality: for horses I have personally bred or raced, the stats are from my own records. For horses I have not personally obtained, I cross-referenced 3 community sources (Horse RNG wiki, Discord server data, and a community spreadsheet maintained by veteran players). Where sources disagree, I note the uncertainty.

Tier progression overview

C-tier horses are free or nearly free to obtain. Each tier jump requires breeding two horses from the tier below (with success variance). The jump from SS to SSS is the hardest — community estimates put SS×SS → SSS success rate at 8-15%. My 3 personal SS×SS breeding attempts produced 1 SSS result (Tidal), which is near the midpoint of that range. Expect to attempt 7-12 SS×SS breeds before reliably producing SSS.

The time investment: a player starting fresh and breeding consistently toward SSS tier should expect 3-5 weeks of daily play. Rushing with Robux can compress this to days. The free-to-play progression is designed to be achievable but not trivial.

Full breed stat reference — speed, luck, sell value, and sleep time

The community table above uses real-breed naming. This second table is the canonical stat dataset the rest of this site is built on, sorted by star requirement. Every number here — speed, luck, base sell value, and sleep time in minutes — is the exact value used by the breeding calculator, race strategy planner, and value list. I include it because the single most common question I get is not "what tier is this horse" but "how much faster is the next one, and how long does it sleep." Those two numbers decide whether an upgrade is worth it.

All values verbatim from the site's horse dataset. Tier labels here follow the calculator's classification, which differs slightly from the community speed-tier table above (e.g., Turkoman is S in the data set but appears in the high-A community grouping). When the two disagree, the calculator dataset is what every tool on this site actually uses.

Where the real speed jumps happen

Speed is not linear with stars. Reading the dataset top to bottom, there are three places where a single upgrade buys you a disproportionate speed gain, and several places where a higher-star horse is actually slower than a cheaper one.

The luck stat climbs steadily with stars and never inverts — Stoic (48 luck) is the luckiest breed in the set. If your goal is aura or mutation farming rather than racing, luck scales cleanly with tier, so the highest-star horse you can afford is always the right luck pick. See the breeds tier list for the racing-context ranking and the value list for current sell estimates.

Frequently asked questions

How many horses are in Horse RNG?

As of May 2026, I have catalogued 42 distinct horse breeds across all obtainable tiers (C through SSS), of which 21 named breeds with full stat data are listed in the stat reference table above. The count includes horses available through standard breeding, shop purchases, aura-enhanced breeding, and special events. New horses are added with major game updates.

What is the fastest horse in Horse RNG by raw speed?

Stoic, at 93 speed, is the fastest breed in the dataset, followed by Tidal at 88. Below SSS tier, the fastest is E-Skeleton at 78 speed (900 stars), then Holsteiner at 75 speed (455 stars). Holsteiner is the best speed-per-star value of any sub-1,000-star breed.

Which horse has the highest sell value?

Stoic has the highest base sell value at $21,000, followed by Tidal at $14,800. At lower tiers, E-Skeleton ($9,200) and Skeleton ($6,600) are the top sell-value breeds before SSS. Sell values multiply during weather events, so the highest-value horse also gains the most from an Aurora or Lightning mutation.

Why does a higher-star horse sometimes have lower speed?

Star count reflects rarity and overall value, not pure speed. Clydesdale (245 stars) has only 45 speed because it is balanced toward sell value and luck instead of racing. Always check the speed column before racing a high-star horse — the calculator dataset is the source of truth for which breed actually wins.

How long do the top horses sleep?

Sleep time scales with tier. Stoic sleeps 110 minutes, Tidal 92, and E-Skeleton 68 — the longest cycles in the game. Starter breeds sleep 8 to 21 minutes. Long sleep times matter for breeding scheduling and for keeping a horse available during weather events; use the sleep timer calculator to plan around them.

What is the easiest horse to get in Horse RNG?

Scrawny Nag (10 stars) and Carolina Walker (22 stars) are the easiest D-tier starters. For practical early racing, the Thoroughbred (62 stars, 46 speed) is the first breed worth chasing — it is the largest single speed jump in the early game and the staple Pasture Dash racer.
